What happened?

to my dreams of spring?

Seriously, it was not supposed to snow again people! So imagine my surprise (and dismay) when the white stuff started to fall yesterday afternoon and continued on through the night. Bleh, I guess I should have paid more attention to what the groundhog had to say about our spring forecast.

If you hadn't guessed, this card was actually made before my snowy doom and gloom. It was a happier time... a more optimistic time... a time of bare ground and the promise of warmer days to come. LOL, how's that for being just a tad melodramatic? ;)
Ok, enough of my whining. A while back I spotted this lovely fairy on Pinterest and after following the links back I found myself at Mo's Digital Pencil. Needless to say, I was smitten and had to get Fairy Mia right then and there. But since it was during the holidays she ended up just sitting and waiting patiently in my hard drive. That is, until the other day when I was high on a spring fever kick and a mission to show those neglected stamps (and digi stamps) some love. So I printed Mia out and started coloring her up to match this pretty floral piece of paper that is actually the packaging for some Prima flowers that I could never throw away. I tried to keep the colors very light and bright as I was going for a kind of sun-bleached look with her. Over all I'm pretty happy with how she came out and I LOVE how the yellow dress looks (the secret is adding some of my beloved E81 as the darkest shadow in the Y combo).

And now I am entering her into this week's Flutter By challenge which is that you can include anything with wings. Normally you have to stick with just butterflies, fairies or angels but this week... if it flies, it qualifies... LOL! :)

Alrighty, I guess I should go get ready for driving to work in the snow... again... whine, moan, grumble... I hope it is sunnier in your neck of the woods!
Toodles!

Come on Spring.....you can do it! lol. This card is beautiful. For once, in Northern Ireland the sun is out, the washing was able to go on the line and is actually drying instead of lying on the line like a big soggy mess and my cat is basking in the sun!! Its not warm, in fact its bloomin' freezing but for the first time in months, Northern Ireland is sunny and bright and not grey and soggy! This card is so pretty Amy. I cant wait for the spring to appear! Lee x

Simply stunning and that packaging background is gorgeous. Over here in Greece the wheather is still cold and gloomy most of the time. Nature says spring is coming, but our heating bill says it's still winter and most definitely the coldest winter since moving here in 2008.

It was beautiful blue skies and sunny 10 minutes ago! Flippin' Northern Ireland weather! Its certainly a testament to the song "4 seasons in one say"!! Lee x

This card is stunning! Don't know how I missed this image from Mo. Love the use of the packaging....I think I threw mine away. :(
And yes, this weather has been wacko! In Texas we have warm days, then a cold snap, then thunderstorms! Blame it on "la Nina" the weather man says! Lol
