I fall to pieces...

Hidee-ho stamp-a-rinos...

Today I've got a card for the new Paper Piecing Challenge over at Some Odd Girl. Yep, that's right... we want to see you gussy up those SOG characters in some extra fancy duds! This technique of stamping the same image on different pattern papers then fussy cutting out the clothes and what-not can be done with both digi stamps and traditional stamps. Though for me, I have better luck getting the parts of the patterns I want to show when I go traditional.

That's why when it came time to choose an image, I went with Sweet Thinkin' Mae. She's one of the fab clear stamps that Some Odd Girl has recently added to their stamp offerings, which I loooove. :)

As I was picking papers for the card and Mae's dress I came across one of my new paper pads from Authentique and I really liked the color combo. At first I dismissed the pattern that I ended up using on her dress because it wasn't a fave, but when I really looked at it I liked how the print kinda reminded me of a funky Amy Butler or Heather Bailey type fabric. Now I wish that I had a stylin' little dress just like this, LOL!
And look how perfectly that crinkled ribbon, that Kiara made for me, matches the color scheme. I even used the cute little strip of text paper with the pearl and twine that she used to package each of the ribbon colors because it was too cute of a touch to throw away. Thanks again Kiara!

Alrighty, time for you to take on the challenge! You've got until September 6th to enter a card for a chance at winning a fab prize and while you don't have to use a SOG image to qualify, you do get an extra name in the hat come drawing time if you do. :)

Have fun and good luck!

Amy this is truly adorable! I am so glad that you went with the paper that used for her dress. I really looks like material that you would make cute little dress out of. Your card as always is just wonderful. We just got back from a long walk and then finished up shopping for the kid's school supplies before everyone in Moses Lake hit the stores. It was so nice of my boss to give me the full day off to do this. I am hoping to get in some crafting time this afternoon. Hope you have a great day. Hugs, Lisa
