"Hi Amy."
"It's been two days since I've purchased more paper..."
LOL! Yep, I have a weakness for pretty papers... it's the truth. I started scrapbooking back in early 2002 and even then I was all about the paper. Heck, I can still pull paper from my 'stash' that I bought back in those early days. Did I mention I have a hard time letting go of it too? I have read many posts from gals about purging and I could never really jump on that train... I mean if I loved it then I should still love it now, right?
Well my friends, this card is how I justify hanging onto all that paper for so long. I bought this SEI Hippie Chick paper at least five years ago. No specific plan for it, just thought it was cute. So it waited and waited... and waited some more. Ever eager for the day when it would finally make its way onto a project. Last week that day arrived when I sat down to create a card for the Farewell to Jacquie challenge at Club Anya. I inked up Hippie Anya and thought about what paper to put her with so I could match up the colors of her outfit. I immediately remembered this line and it was perfect. Well, using these old papers must have brought me some luck because this card won me a new 80's Anya stamp during the VSN!
That is why I hang onto my paper, you just never know when it will make new goodies (like my stamps) shine.
LOL :)

Yeah, I have some that I just can't quite get rid of. I did recently go through all my stacks and get rid of stuff I knew I'd never use. Sold it on ebay in a lot and now I have room for... you guessed it!! MORE PAPER!! ;0)
Fab card and I love that paper!!! No wonder you hung on to it for so long!

It IS perfect for her!! I also buy WAY too much paper and hold onto it too! Do you keep full pads of paper, too, even when you were only in love with part of it?? I am trying to convince myself to let fo of the sheets in the pads that I don't love (but then I worry I would forget who made the paper...) It's a sickness, I tell ya! :-)Traci
Sweeeeet! The papers are perfect! I tend to hold on to my papers too...

Hi Amy, your card is sooo Cute!! You make me laugh. I am a paper collector...lol..that is why half the time when I post to my blog I can't say where the paper is from because they are 8 1/2 x 11 from when I first started scrapbooking in 1998..I just love your work. You sure deserve to win stamps and a whole lot more. You are very talented..Have a great week, Lisa G
Your card is so cute, Amy! And this paper is perfect for this Hippy Anya! I am the same way about papers! :) Sometimes I wll look at some of it and think why didn't I use it, why did I buy it?
But maybe we collect the papers for reason, for some future projects to brighten up a new stamp, just like you did!
I love your blog, Amy! And your talent is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your stories!
